Support H-Net's Service to Scholars This GivingTuesday

I started graduate school in 1999, at a time when the humanities and social science disciplines were just starting to develop online presences. At that time, H-Net had already established itself as a leader in this area, and their mailing lists had become essential ways to keep up with important scholarly developments. Since then, the Internet has evolved significantly, and for-profit sites and apps have come and gone as tools for academic discourse. Through it all, H-Net has been a steady antidote to commercial platforms striving for maximum engagement rather than reasoned discussion. It remains one of the rare places where some of the Internet’s original democratic vision persists. H-Net is not driven by algorithms or beholden to advertisers, but rather relies upon the intellectual and financial generosity of its community.

This year H-Net is working to raise $35,000 to help support new platform development for the H-Net Commons, H-Net Job Guide, and H-Net Reviews. Would you donate today to help us reach that goal? Your generosity will make it possible for H-Net to provide the services academics value on more technologically up-to-date, mobile-friendly, platforms responsive to user experience feedback provided by H-Net editors and subscribers.

You can help us build a better future for H-Net and its subscribers by making a gift today. Subscribers like you make it possible for H-Net to not only continue, but to improve and expand upon, these vital services--they couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for supporting H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences Online!
