On behalf of the H-Net Elections Committee (Ryan Dunch, Lorna Zukas, David Prior, Charles Reed, and Patrick Cox, chair), I write to announce the start of the H-Net Election Season. The following H-Net offices are subject to election in this cycle:

  • three council members, three-year term;
  • a Vice President of Teaching, two-year term;
  • a Vice President of Research and Publications, two-year term; and
  • a President-Elect.
For details regarding the roles of council members and officers, as well as election eligibility and procedures, see the H-Net Elections site.

There is no registration process for voting. Voting will be conducted in the H-Net Commons. All individuals who currently hold at least one network editorship, council position, or staff position will be able to vote. To ensure that you will be able to vote, confirm that you can log into your Commons account, and that you are set as a trained and certified editor on the networks you edit.

If you have questions about the election, or issues with Commons access, please contact the Help Desk. Staff will try to help even during the voting period, but it is safer to resolve any issues in advance.
