Dear Friends,

The American Folklore Society is now accepting proposals for the Society's 2013 Annual Meeting to be held on October 16-19 at the Omni Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. The theme for the meeting, on which presentations will be encouraged but not required, is "Cultural Sustainability."

March 31 is the deadline for:
* Proposals of Diamond and media presentations, forums, papers and posters.
* All annual meeting event requests, including Section business meetings and exhibition tables, Section-sponsored events, and university receptions.
* Applications for Gerald L. Davis Fund Travel Grants and Stipends for International Participants.

You'll find links to all the information related to this year's meeting --including the path to registering and submitting a proposal-- on the 2013 Annual Meeting page: <http://www.afsnet.org/?page=2013AM2>. You can also find this page in the main menu under About AFS/Annual Meetings or by clicking on the Annual Meeting slide on our home page.

Thank you for your support of our field and Society.

Lorraine Cashman, AFS
