2016 Virginia Forum: Register Now!

Register now for the 2016 Virginia Forum, hosted at Jamestown Settlement in Williamsburg, Virginia, March 3-6, 2016.
Initiated in 2006, the Virginia Forum is an interdisciplinary conference that brings together academics, teachers, writers, archivists, museum curators, historic site interpreters, librarians, and others engaged in the study and interpretation of Virginia history and culture to share their knowledge, research, and experience. The Forum is open to all interested participants and attendees.
The 2016 Virginia Forum will be hosted by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation on March 3–6, 2016. This year’s theme, “Convergences and Disjunctures” reflects the mission of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation to study and teach Virginia history through the convergence of American Indian, European, and African cultures and the legacies of those interactions in the development of the nation. Dr. James Rice, professor of history at SUNY Plattsburgh and author of Tales from a Revolution: Bacon’s Rebellion and the Transformation of Early America (2012), will serve as this year’s keynote speaker.
Registration is now open! Regular early registration is $75 until February 18, when registration will increase to $90. Students and K–12 educators may register for a discounted rate of $40.
